講座詳細
【目標】
Purposes (3): Firstly, to discuss global business trends and current events in order to gain an understanding of what these trends mean for Japanese companies and their managers and employees. Secondly, to gain the ability to discuss these topics with confidence with your English speaking friends and colleagues as well as, possibly, with your company’s expatriate executives. Thirdly, to help you broaden your network of contacts.
【講義概要】
In each class we will talk about a current “hot topic”. Here are some examples from previous semesters:
・ Amazon; Innovator or Predator?
・ The World’s Leading Car Company In The Year 2025?
・ The Internet of Things (I.o.T); The 4th Industrial Revolution or More?
・ “Where Is Cybercrime Really Coming From?” [TED video]
・ My Favorite, Or Least Favorite, Business Leader [Individual Speeches]
・ Artificial Intelligence; Issues and Opportunities
・ Diversity in Management; Important to Achieve? If So, How?
・ Managing the Remote Workforce; Best Practices
・ “The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get” [TED video]
Each class will also include a “Current Events Round-Up” section in which we will nominate and then discuss 2 or 3 business events from the week that are interesting from a corporate strategy standpoint.
