【目標】
One of the main challenges Japanese students face when they study English is pronunciation. The English language has a range of sounds that either do not exist in Japanese or are formed differently， consequently posing many obstacles to effective communication. In this course the students will learn how to:
a) distinguish confusing sounds (e.g. L and R， V and B etc).
b) identify the sounds correctly.
c) produce the challenging sounds accurately and clearly.
d) continuously control their pronunciation and avoid lapses.
There will be 6 classes in total of 1.5 hours each and with a particular sound or combination of sounds for each lesson.
【講義概要】
45-60 minutes: Each lesson will start with an introduction to the sound and how it is formed followed by practice. In this part students will need to do a lot of repetitive reproduction and pair practice to consolidate their ability to both produce and identify the sound. In addition， they will do tongue twisters that will also help them with enunciation.
About 30 minutes: Finally each student will have a 1-2 minute presentation during which he/she will be assessed by the teacher and fellow students for their pronunciation accuracy and clarity.
