【目標】
- Firstly， to discuss global business trends and current events in order to gain an understanding of what these trends mean for Japanese companies and their managers and employees.
- Secondly， to gain the ability to discuss these topics with confidence with your English speaking friends and colleagues as well as， possibly， with your company’s expatriate executives.
- Thirdly， to help you broaden your network of contacts.
【講義概要】
In each class we will talk about a current “hot topic”， e.g.， efforts to increase the ratio of female participation in management， strategies to secure a better work/life balance， the increase in overseas M&A by Japanese companies， networking “best practices”， career advancement strategies， globalization strategies， I.O.T， etc. We vary the class 'format' to suit the topic of the week. Class formats include individual speeches (with post-speech feedback)， team break-outs， class debates， and TED Talks.
Each class will also include a “Current Events Round-Up” section in which we will nominate and then discuss 2 or 3 business events from the week that are interesting from a corporate strategy standpoint.
Whatever the topic and format， the classes are highly interactive. Expect to participate and expect to be challenged.
