【目標】
This course aims to assist you to develop skills in various areas: 1)Listening to and understanding (lower-mid)intermediate-level English， 2)Listening to/completing & understanding Dictation Summaries， and 3)Expressing your own opinions for various types of Guided Questions for each theme.
【講義概要】
Students will be covering theme-based dialogues. Each unit has its respective comprehension questions， dictation exercise，discussion questions for pair and small-group work， and opinion setion with two related agree/disagree statements which will ask the students to organize their own ideas with good， supporting debate-like reasons. Each unit has a glossary which will be used to improve the students' vocabulary in preparation for discussing the themes. (CD included) The teacher will give feedback on: content， organization， and pronunciation.

◆Homework:The students must listen to the CD selections to practice their pronunciation at home before coming to class. Complete any assigned work. Listen to and prepare the Dictation Section before class. Prepare your own answers for 1)Discussion， 2)What's Your Opinion， and 3)Write a Paragraph: to be done as a speaking exercise---before coming to class.
◆Your Participation: 1)Speaking in English during class， 2)Working actively with various partners throughout the seven weeks， and 3)Working in a positive manner that assists all the students to better improve their communication skills in English.
