【目標】
To continue : 1)improving students' vocabulary skills by covering pre-reading word-study exercises， and then reading and listening to 900-1000 word essays; 2)improving students' pronunciation through oral readings of assigned paragraphs， and 3)increasing their reading-comprehension skills before covering various speaking activities.
【講義概要】
Essays focus on "topics of current interest" areas. The course will continue from where the students ended for the Spring Term. The textbook provides preparatory materials to practice the skills which are required for the TOEFL， SAT， and GRE by providing Mini-test Sections to check the students' progress and to improve their reading retention. We will cover the exercises and oral readings of the paragraphs (with the instructor providing corrections afterwards). Small-group and entire-class speaking activities will follow after every two lessons have been covered.
