【目標】
We will try to get an "inside view" of how American school children learn about the history of their own country by reading representative textbook material that covers four centuries of American history.
【講義概要】
We will read a simple text on American history， which has a facing-page translation in Japanese. Each class meeting will receive a reading assignment beforehand， so that members can prepare by reading， if they choose to， and then ask questions and discuss the content in the class. The instructor will read section by section and point out significant passages along the way. This is intended to be an enjoyable class and participation is welcome.
