＜目標＞
After completing the course, you will be better able to express your own opinions about sensitive subjects.
＜講義概要＞
This theme-based conversation/discussion class will focus on listening to and discussing the opinions of others concerning taboo subjects which are really spoken about in English. You will explore your own ways of thinking about various subjects by covering： 1）short readings, 2）listening selections, and 3） conversation-based activities in the core textbook.
In class, we will study “Warm-Up” material to introduce the theme and relevant vocabulary for each unit, interactive-listening-comprehension-based exercises, language-focus selections, and prepare small-group and larger-group conversations/discussions for teacher-selected themes. The teacher will provide feedback on grammar and pronunciation after each presentation.
Come to class; share your knowledge with other students, and help each other to discuss 8-10 themes in 10 weeks.
