To enjoy reading and discussing on different topics： history, culture, news, business, sciences, sports, essays, commetaries from newspapers & magazines.
The course is for those who want to hand pick their own topics for discussion.
Students choose their weekly topics -for example- news of the week, domestic and international news or culture, business, interviews, sports, and magazine articles of interest.
We will read & discuss articles from New York Times, Asian Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, The Times of London and news clips from BS programs. Class time is divided into 2 parts.
First, by reading articles, watching TV news clips, or listening to academic lectures and discussion. Then, note-taking and reporting to group of learned materials.
