An excellent course for students wishing to challenge themselves and work on their critical thinking and discussion skills through readings （general and academic）, vocabulary work, listening （CNN video） and group debate/discussion.
Text Topics include（very appropriately for our times）: The Environment, Nuclear Power, The challenges. Nuclear waste- the present, the future, the world and more. There is also a special on-line library available for those students wishing to explore the topics further, as well as teacher provided materials. The course is designed to follow the highly successful text book“Topics for Today”, but is also flexible enough to follow the big news events affecting our lives. I look forward to interesting and engaging afternoons with you. See you then!
＊This is a continuing course, but as it is topic based, new students are encouraged to join at any time!
