プロフィール | John Lyday John is the principal and founder of John Lyday Financial Planning. He is an Investment Advisor with years of experience helping clients manage various aspects of personal financial planning. He holds all relevant insurance, securities, and tax licenses. John is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, San Francisco Branch, the Japan Association of Financial Planners, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and other organizations. He specializes in cross-border issues. He is a graduate of Davidson College. Gustavo Tanaka Nakasone Gustavo Tanaka, MBA, CPA, is an Accounting professor at the Undergraduate Program, Corporate Education and Continuing Education at Temple University, Japan Campus. He is the author of "Analysis of Financial Statements for the Decision Making" published by the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. (Lima 2001, first reprinted 2003 , second reprinted 2005). He earned a Bachelor degree in Managerial Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and an M.B.A, from Georgia State University (Atlanta, Georgia). After several years of Accounting and Finance experience, he taught at the Pontifical Catholic University for six years and then he moved to Atlanta, where he completed an MBA, majoring in Risk Management and concentration in Finance. Then he worked in the Accounting, Risk Management and Finance areas in several companies before becoming an analyst at the Assets and Liabilities Department in SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Capital Markets (Capital markets division of SunTrust Bank, a top ten US Fortune 500 commercial bank). After moving to Japan he started teaching Accounting courses at TUJ (Undergraduate Program) and some big corporations like Citicorp, among others. He is also an independent investor. He loves sports (soccer, baseball-Fukuoka Softbank, Seattle Mariners and Atlanta Braves fan-, hockey, etc.) Ferdinand Maquito Dr. Ferdinand Maquito is an Adjunct Professor of Asian Studies at Temple University Japan Campus, where he has also taught economics in the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a Philippine national, and is currently involved in joint research and consulting work about special economic zones, the automotive and shipbuilding/ship repair industries, and urban poor communities in the Philippines. The common research theme is shared growth (efficiency and equity). Dr Maquito took his PhD in Economics from the University of Tokyo for his research on Japanese Official Development Assistance. He also has a Master in Science Degree in Industrial Economics from the Center for Research and Communication (now the University of Asia and the Pacific, Metro Manila, Philippines). He obtained his BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines, and has worked a couple of years in the shipbuilding and repair industry. He does his research within the Sekiguchi Global Research Association (NGO/NPO) which is under the Atsumi International Scholarship Foundation that was originally set up on the bequest of Mr. Takeo Atsumi (former President of Kajima Construction, Inc). Chiaki Yoshiga Chiaki Yoshiga received a CFA charter in 1999 and has been a member of CFA Institute since then. He holds Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, as well as Master of Engineering degree in Applied Physics from the University of Tokyo. He currently works for UBS Securities Japan Ltd. Wealth Management Division, as a senior client advisor. He started his financial industry career at Goldman Sachs 15 years ago and accumulated experience in various products and services including wealth management, corporate finance, equities and derivative sales and trading. His personal interest includes golfing, reading and karaoke. |
