Each 90 minute lesson consists of three parts-fluency, accuracy and explaining aspects of Japanese culture. A typical class consists of three types of activities. Firstly, students are given the oportunity to talk about an aspect of their lives (e.g., their weekends, their families). Secondly, activities where students are required to "notice" and correct common mistakes made by Japanese speakers of English. Finally. activities where students describe aspects of Japanese culture (e.g., omotenashi, oshibori). Designed for lower to mid- level adults, this course focuses on natural, authentic "living" English.

プロフィール | I have been teaching at Obirin University since 2011 and have lived in Japan since 2000. I love teaching and really enjoy communicating with people. I am a student of the Japanese ""way ""of approaching life and the similarities and differences with my own country, New Zealand.I frequently appear on the NHK program ""Cool Japan” sharing my experiences and opinions on all things Japanese. |
