【講座趣旨】
Each class will start by the teacher distributing the handout and he will then give a short talk on the topic. The students will go through the handout with the teacher and explanations will be given on vocabulary， grammar and useful expressions. In pairs and small groups students will discuss questions from the text. Questions and comments from students will be welcomed by the teacher.(トピックについて先生から短い講義があり、その後、受講生からの質問やコメントで授業を進めていきます。)

As the UK leaves the EU after more than 40 years -- what next?

| プロフィール | ロンドン大学で英文学・英語学を学び、ケンブリッジ大学大学院で音声学を学ぶ。来日前は、グラスゴー、エディンバラ、ロンドンにおいて弁論、演劇を教える。劇場やテレビでの俳優活動や、BBCスコットランドでのアナウンサー経験も持つ。1982年に来日し、1984年より明治大学にて教鞭をとる。1993年に明治大学短期大学の助教授、1998年に教授となり、現在は、情報コミュニケーション学部教授として英語を教えている。また、喜劇グループ「ザ・ガイジン」の共同創始者でもあり、NHKラジオ英会話講座で8年間出演者を務めた経験も持つ。その他に、高校や大学の教科書の執筆にも携わる。 |
